Laboratory tests based on the principle of slab probe are undertaken for the measurement of thermal conductivity changing with material selections and mixing design
maintaining time and temperature
and the results are prepared into some curves and analyzed in detail. It has been shown that the bentonite alone has not a good thermal conductivity
but it can be improved by mixing with cement and sand. The thermal conductivity increases as the ratio of water to cement decreases. It is an effective method for increasing the thermal conductivity by adding granular fillers. An increase in sand content will enhance the thermal conductivity nonlinearly in theory.
