It is based on Biot’s three-dimensional consolidation theory of ideal soil. The compression of the pore fluid is considered in the continuity condition of the flow. And this factor
as a function of the degree of saturation
can be written into the Biot’s two-dimensional consolidation equations. The governing equations are established by using Laplace and Fourier transformation to obtain the initial functions. Then the real time behavior can be obtained by using numerical inversion respectively. The procedure of consolidation affected by the degree of the saturation of highly saturated soil is studied thus the consolidation of the compression of pore fluid is proved to be necessary.
