On the basis of experimental data the socket length

base resistance and shaft resistance of rock-socketed piles have been analyzed. The relationship between share of base resistance and socket length，the relationship between bearing capacity and share of socket

and the influence of different rocks on pile capacity，are discussed; the best socket lengths of different diameter piles in soft soil ground are presented; meanwhile we think there is no longest socket length.
