A new method is put forward to analyze the stability of slopes; the action between the soil spencer is supposed to be pararrel to the bottom but does not equal. The safety factor can be got with the consideration of equilibrium conditions and the principle of strength failure. Examples show that it is a sensible and effective method of slope stability analysis.
