In order to determine behavior of Xiamen residual soil under cyclic loading

triaxial test with undrained conditions has been conducted in this paper. First

some important dynamic parameters such as strength

elastic modulus and damping ratio have been determined. Secondly

behavior of stress-strain

stress path and excess pore water pressure under cyclic loading has been analyzed. Finally

both the normalization and the determination of dynamic strength index ∅d and ?d for residual soil have been discussed.
