This paper discusses the origin and structure of grid and introduces the technique of middleware. In view of three key problems—diverse structure

extendable characteristic and dynamic self-adaptability which will be met during the development of grid

and according to the superiority of agent and mobile agent

an agent-oriented grid middleware model is put forth

This model can settle these three key problems well.
