The ignition and combustion process of pulverized coal(PC) particles in the PC flow inside the high-temperature air(HTA) direct ignition combustor as well as in outlet area of said combustor
has been simulated.Based on the results obtained from simulation
the effects of working condition parameters
such as the PC concentration
the flow rate of primary air
the temperature of HTA
and the flow rate of HTA etc
have been analyzed. Results of calculation show that:(1)the ignition distance increases as decreasing the temperature field of PC inside the combustor due to decrease of PC concentration in the primary air
or due to increase of the primary air flow rate;(2)the influence of primary air flow rate variation upon the ignition of PC is greater than that of PC concentration;(3)the ignition distance is approximately shortened linearly as the temperature of HTA increases;(4)the ignition distance lengthens firstly and then shortens as flow rate of HTA increases.
