The organic matter content in water of Jing-Hang Canal is higher
hence
the water in said canal can't directly be used as intaking water for reverse-osmosis system. For this
based on static test
a test of dynamic simulation has been carried out.The test system is mainly constituted from two-stage coagulating clarifier
a fine sand filter
and two-stage activated carbon filter.Based on the results of test
technological parameters suitable for pretreatment of the canal water have been put forward
including mainly the upward flow rate in first-stage clarifier
the return flow ratio of sludge
the upward flow rate in secondary-stage clarifier
the dosage of cuagulant
coagulation aid
low turbidity additive
and powdered activated carbon etc.
as well as type selection of the activated carbon. At the same time
the limited concentration of organic matters in the canal water used as intaking water forreverse-osmosis system in said technology has been determined. Results of test show that the quality of effluent water from the system can satisfy the requirements of intaking water of reverse-osmosis system under condition of the maximum value of CODMn in the raw water being 17.62 mg/L
