which may result in severe corrosion on the heating surface of superheater in the burning process
limiting large-scale application of biomass in thermal power plants. The technology of mixedly burning biomass with coal can improve the above-mentioned problem. In the event the proportion ratio of mixedly burning biomass is lower
the corrosion mechanism is similar to that of burning coal
the corrosion is mainly caused by sulfurization and oxidation in case of proportion ratio of biomass is higher
the corrosion is mainly caused by KCl
and the chlorine may penetrate the oxide protective film
to accelerate the said corrosion.Through comprehensive analysis of the corrosion mechanism in mixedly burning biomass with coal
corresponding protective measures have been proposed as follows:1) using additives;2) carrying out pretreatment of the fuels;3) spraying corrosion-resistant coatings on the metallic surface
or using corrosion-resistant steels;4) regulating operating parameters.
