Investigation on factors that may affect the service life of bag filter in coal-fired power plant shows that

mechanical damage and chemical corrosion are two major reasons for lifetime shortening of the filter bag.The causes of mechanical damage of filter include the filter abrasion due to cage and the jetting gas flow

bag breaking on the dirty side of the filter

and the bag blocking.Strong oxidizing gas

acid condensation and high temperature damage account for the chemical corrosion.Thus

to lengthen the service life of the filter

such corresponding countermeasures as adjusting the blowing pressure and the pulse width

controlling the filtration velocity and the gas temperature are given.
