a new vortex engine theory based natural draft cooling tower with flue gas injection system was presented.By computational fluid dynamics software ANSYS-CFX
a numerical simulation model was established at ratio of 50∶1according to the actual chimney and cooling tower of a 600MW unit. The RNGk-εturbulence equation was applied to analyze this model
and the obtained temperature field
pressure field
velocity field and density field were basically consistent with the theoretical analysis. The simulated value of the temperature at horizontal plane of the strengthened vortex chamber and the stable vortex chamber agreed well with the experimental values. The measured cooling water temperature at inlet of the unification system was 29 ℃ and that at outlet was 25 ℃.The outlet cooling water temperature decreased significantly
indicating this unification system had good cooling effect.
