Abstract
The experiment about gas-phase Hg0adsorption by nano-Fe2O3-SiO2sorbents in simulated flue gas atmosphere was performed on a fixed bed reactor
using an online gas-mercury analyzer. The effect of such factors as Fe2O3loading
bed temperature
residence time
water vapor concentration and SO2on the mercury removal efficiency was investigated. The results showed that
compared with the nano-Fe2O3powders
the nano-Fe2O3/SiO2had better performance for mercury removal. With the increasing Fe2O3loading
bed temperature and water steam concentration
the mercury removal rate increased first and then dropped. The optimal conditions were:at bed temperature of 350℃
with the Fe2O3loading of 10% and the water vapor volume fraction of 3%.Due to the influence of mass transfer on the reaction
prolonging the residence time was good to the mercury removal
but high SO2concentration went ill with the mercury removal
