The influence of the air cooling fan cluster effect
environmental air speed and direction on operation performance of the air cooling fan cluster was numerically investigated. The results show that
variation of the negative pressure at entrance of the air cooling fan cluster was the direct reason for operation performance deviation of the air cooling fan located at different places under different environmental conditions. In the environment with nearly no air flow
the air cooling fan cluster was affected seriously by the group effect
and exhibited characteristics of low surrounding air flow and large intermediate air flow.As the environmental air speed increased
the air flow from air cooling fans located at different places decreased continuously
and the effect of the environmental air enhanced from the leeward side to the windward side.In the dominant air direction
the operation performance of the air cooling fan was affect by the environmental air most slightly
while by the reverse wind from boiler side most seriously.
