the desulfurization waste water in coal-fired power plant is hard to reuse. This has become the bottleneck to achieve'zero discharge'for the power plant. On the basis of analyzing emission characteristics and reuse status of the desulfurization waste water
two'zero discharge'technologies serving for two power plants separately had been compared. The results indicate that
compared to the multiple-effect distillation(MED)method
the mechanical vapor recompression(MVC)technology can save energy significantly. In addition
the water softening equipment installed before the evaporation facility can suppress the scale formation
improve the operational reliability and stability. Therefore
a combined technology
including pretreatment system(such as defeco-carbonation process or filtration)and evaporation system(such as MVR or MVC)
is suggested to treat the desulfurization waste water to achieve'zero discharge'.
