To investigate the effect of arrangement of guiding plates in flue duct on flow field in SCR reactors
numerical simulation on a 330 MW unit was performed by applying the Fluent software.The results show that
countermeasures such as employing arc transitional angle and 6straight curved plates at the flue inlet
using 6folded plates to guide the flow at joint between the reactor and horizontal part of the mixing section
and applying 54 equal interval straight plates in front of the catalyst entrance can improve uniformity of the flow field significantly.The non-uniformity of velocity at cross section of the optimized first catalyst layer is 14.4%
and the pressure drop of the system is 134.43 Pa
which satisfies the optimization requirements and is beneficial to denitration reaction and prolonging the catalyst's service life.
