Operation characteristics of HP1163/Syn coal mill grinding Shenhun coal and Indonesian coal were investigated.The results show that:the pulverized coal fineness R90 decreased with an increase in revolving speed of dynamic mill classifier;the coal fineness variation caused by unit revolving speed change of the classifier within the range from 600r/min to 750r/min was about 2to 3times of that out of this range;with the increasing revolving speed

the energy consumption of the coal mill per unit capacity increased

and the higher the revolving speed

the larger the change rate of energy consumption caused by unit revolving speed;as the primary air flux increased

the current of the primary air fan grew

and the moisture content in outlet pulverized coal increased first and then fell.It suggests that the classifier speed be 778r/min for C mill grinding Shenhun coal and 617r/min for E mill grinding Indonesian coal.
