This paper presents a new reduced chemical kinetic model for predicting the pollutants formation during gas turbine combustion
which consists of 25 species and 75 elementary reactions. Moreover
the ignition delay time
flame speed and formation performance of the reactant
main intermediate products and pollutants were predicted by this new mechanism
under conditions of shock tube and lean premixed combustion. The calculation results show good consistency with the related experimental data in the literatures and results predicted by the detail mechanisms
thus a feasible approach for prediction of combustion and pollutant emission characteristics by coupling chemical reaction kinetics model with computational fluid dynamics model in gas turbines was provided. The analysis results of chemical network model of the gas turbine combustor show that
the Zeldovich and N2 O mechanisms play a leading role in the NO formation under the lean premixed combustion condition.
