To remove the fouling attached on the surface of slag cooler
the specialty of fouling prevention and descaling in liquid-solid two-phase flow slag cooler was studied and the best possible condition of fouling prevention and descaling in liquid-solid two– phase flow slag cooler was discussed.By studying the effects of shear stress of liquid-solid two phase flow and collision stress between the solid particles and dirt layers on slag removal
the liquid-solid two phase flow anti-fouling model was established
and the MATLAB simulation software was employed to investigate the relationship between and among the fouling wear rate
the maximum relative deviation of collision stress
the circulation velocity
the particle incidence angle and others. The results show that
the important factors of slag cooler prevention and removal include the circulation velocity
solid particle size
solid volume fraction and the solid particle incidence angle. The liquid-solid two-phase flow shear stress can only inhibit the production of fouling
but it cannot remove the fouling.Increasing the circulation velocity and solid volume fraction can increase the two-phase flow shear stress and particle collision stress
thus to realize fouling prevention and descaling. When the solid particle incidence angle was between 40°and 60°
and the circulate velocity reached 3m/s to 4m/s and the particle size is within the range from 6mm to 8mm
the fouling wear rate reached the maximum
and the maximum relative deviation of the collision stress was the minimum
indicating the fouling effect was the best under this condition.
