The capture efficiency of ultra fine particles in air pollution control devices of present coal-fired power plants are relatively low.The emission of ultrafine particles caused serious environmental pollution. To solve this problem
the chemical agglomeration method was proposed
which can make the ultrafine particles grow up and thus to enhance the ultrafine particles removal efficiency. The flocculation model combining the Monte Carlo algorithm was used to simulate the changes of particle size distribution
number and average diameter
under conditions considering and not considering the droplet fragmentation. The results show that
small agglomeration agent amount will decrease the number of droplets
affecting the adsorption of particle on droplets. Thus
the role of agglomeration agent in agglomeration will be not obvious. However
too much agglomeration agent will increase the adsorption interaction between droplets. This will decrease the chance of adsorption between particles and droplets
increase the average size of droplets
and weakening the agglomeration of particles. Therefore
appropriate flow rate of agglomeration agent is the key factor for determining the agglomeration of particle.
