Co-combustion of agriculture and forest residues with pulverized coal provides a promising way to generate power more environmentally-friendly and economically. In this paper
rice husk was co-combusted with a bituminous coal and a lignite respectively.A non-isothermal thermogravimetric method was adopted to investigate the combustion characteristics of various coal/biomass blends at heating rate of 10 ℃/min from 100 ℃ to 1 000 ℃.The results show that
the addition of rice husk improved the bituminous coal combustion
and this effect seemed to be enhanced by increasing the proportion of rice husk.In contrast
no significant interactions were observed in combustion of lignite/rice husk blends. Therefore
in the actual cocombustion of rice husk with coal
the combustion performance should be evaluated based on the type of the coal used.
