The key point in the research of mercury emission control from new combustion type
such as oxy-fuel combustion
is fully understanding the speciation rules of mercury from coal combustion in O_2/CO_2 atmosphere
especially definitely understanding the influence of high H_2O and HCl concentration on major oxidizing component(Cl/Cl_2)of the flue gas
as well as the interaction rules between the reaction products and elementary mercury(Hg~0).By simulating the O_2/CO_2 atmosphere
the effect of temperature
HCl concentration and H_2O(g)concentration on oxidation of Hg~0 was experimentally investigated. The results show that
there is a strong positive correlation between the oxidation of Hg~0 and such factors as the temperature
HCl content and oxidizing Cl/Cl_2 generated. The higher the flue gas temperature
the more content of HCl and oxidizing Cl/Cl_2 generated in the flue gas
and the more easier the Hg~0 will be oxidized.H_2O(g)in flue gas inhibited the oxidation of Hg~0.HCl can buffer the inhibitory effect of H_2O(g).But the H_2O(g)'s inhibitory effect still got obvious with the temperature.
