The four-tower-combined indirect air cooling system puts the desulfurization absorption tower
wet electrostatic precipitator and chimney inside the indirect air cooling tower
which has advantages of saving water and energy and reducing the floor space. However
at present
the engineering applications of this technology are few and the technology is mainly applied in ultra supercritical units of 600 MW and above.Taking the supercritical 2×350 MW units as the research objects
this paper analyzes the arrangement programs of wet electrostatic precipitators of tower-in and tower outside
to obtain the feasibility of four incorporate towers in technology and economy. Moreover
the airflow field at different environmental velocities is revealed by numerical simulation
which can be used to study the heat dissipation
flue gas diffusion and inner wall corrosion of the air cooling tower. The results show that
the form of four incorporate towers is feasible in technology and the tower-in arrangement program of wet electrostatic precipitator is more economical than the tower outside mode. The airflow inside and outside the air-cooling tower is influenced by the ambient wind obviously
which dents the thermal performance of the air-cooling tower. The flue gas field inside and outside the air cooling tower is similar at different environmental wind speeds. However
when the ambient wind speed is high
the flue gas may contact with the tower body near the tower outlet
which should be managed through appropriate anti-corrosion measures.
