The pantograph-catenary arc occurs frequently along with the increase of separating rate and off-line degree of pantograph-catenary. The influence of the pantograph-catenary arc on pantograph sliding board
catenary wire
power quality
communication signals and radio signals threaten the safe operation of high-speed trains seriously. Consequently
we researched the influence of high-speed airflow field on the dissipated power of pantograph-catenary arc by using the theory of transverse blowing arc and longitudinal blowing arc. Considering stretching compression of the pantograph-catenary arc column and the energy exchange under blowing arc of strong airflow
the relationship between dissipated power per unit length arc and the speed of the train is a linear function in the process of pantograph-catenary arc striking. And the relationship between dissipated power per unit length arc and the speed of the train is a linear function approximately in the process of arcing. Based on the energy balance theory
the dynamic model of pantograph-catenary arc was established using the Matlab/Simulink simulation software
and the results of simulation waveforms and experimental waveforms were compared. The results show that the peak value of striking voltage is about 35 V during the first arcing period and the peak value of striking voltage will be about 30 V during the second arcing period. There is a small arcing process in the process of arc striking. The simulation waveform fits well with measured waveform in general. The dynamic model of pantograph-catenary arc is proved to be reasonable
which provides a theoretical basis for studying the electrical characteristics of pantograph-catenary arc.
