To further understand the vibration response features of transformer winding and detect the hidden faults timely
we experimentally investigated the vibration sweep frequency on a 110 k V transformer with the developed vibration frequency response(VFR) test system
where the VFR features of transformer winding under normal condition and typical fault conditions were analyzed. The thought of information fusion was introduced to calculate the normalized singular spectrum entropies of the joint VFR curves according to the VFR curves of each measured point in transformer tank. The repeatability of vibration sweep frequency experiment was verified again. The results reveal that the amplitudes of the VFR curves will increase with the increase of the frequency and the peaks will vary from different conditions of windings. The normalized singular spectrum entropy is capable of describing the VFR curves quantitatively. When the transformer winding is loosened or deformed
the variations of normalized singular spectrum entropy are greater than 5%.
