Demands for high-voltage high-power converters are increasing rapidly. Nevertheless
due to their complex structures
multi-time scale characteristics and hybridity
it is difficult to realize accurate
efficient and stable simulation of such systems. From a hybrid system perspective
taking a 10 kV 2 MW electric energy router as an example
we present the application of Discrete State Event-Driven(DSED) simulation framework in high-voltage high-power. Compared with commercially available simulation tools
DSED framework can be applied not only to achieve accurate and efficient simulation of both device-level switching transient and system-level dynamic
but also to achieve up to 1 000-fold improvement in simulation speed compared with commercial power electronic simulati
on software such as PLECS
?
which offers a powerful simulation tool for analysis
design and control of high-voltage high-power converters.
