Taking a 900 V/1 000 A electromagnetic repulsion mechanism prototype as the object of study
we combine the constraint conditions in the project to improve the maximum kinetic energy conversion rate of the prototype
which is originally low to only 1.75%. Electromagnetic field
structural force field and mechanical motion are coupled to establish a simulation model. The correctness of the simulation model is verified. By using this model
the capacitance parameters are adjusted on the basis of the constant energy storage of the capacitor. It is found that changing the capacitance parameters can not help improve the efficiency. On the basis of limiting the inner and outer diameters of the repulsion coil
the coil parameters are adjusted
and it is found that the change of the wire diameter has a great influence on the efficiency. However
the coil parameters of the prototype have been selected to maximize the efficiency
and the coil parameters do not need to be changed. Furthermore
on the basis of the stress of the repulsion plate meeting the Von Mises yield criterion
an ‘aluminum-steel’ composite plate is designed
which can improve the efficiency. Adjusting the capacitance parameters and coil parameters does not improve the efficiency of the prototype; the composite plate can increase the efficiency of the prototype to 3.46%
