Methanol dissolved in transformer oil is an important characteristic quantity to characterize the aging of oil-paper insulation
thus
developing an efficient
accurate and suitable detection method for the on-site determination of methanol content in transformer oil is of great significance. Raman spectroscopy technique has the advantages of fast response
easy operation
and non-destructive testing
and has been widely used in the fields of chemistry
materials and biology research. Therefore
we employed the GAUSSIAN software to construct and calculate the Raman spectra of methanol molecule
water molecule and their binding model
and analyzed the reasons for the shift of each peak. The laser Raman spectroscopy detection platform was constructed to detect the methanol Raman spectra in the transformer oil after ultrapure water extraction. The quantitative analysis model was constructed by combining the least square method. The minimum detection limit for methanol was 15.6 mg/L
and the goodness of fit was 0.997 94. The application of Raman spectroscopy combined with liquid phase extraction in the detection of methanol in transformer oil has a good effect
and it provides a new idea for the accurate detection of aging features.
