Abstract:
With large-scale wind power being integrated into power systems, the impact of wind power’s dynamic characteristics and uncertainty on the power system transient stability cannot be ignored. An analytical criterion for judging the impact of wind generator integration on the power system transient stability has been proposed already. The criterion can be converted into a constraint, which guarantees that the wind generator integration has a positive impact on the power system transient stability. On this basis, wind power uncertainty was taken into considered, and a transient stability-constrained economic dispatch model with wind power uncertainty was formulated, the algorithm to solve this model was proposed as well. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed model and algorithm were verified by simulation.
