Abstract: Electric vehicles have the advantages of high energy efficiency, low pollution and environmental friendliness, which have been included in the 14th five-year plan of national strategic development plan. Electric vehicle R & D and large-scale commercial application are also in full swing in major cities. However, frequent electric vehicle charging accidents not only endanger the personal and property safety of users and operators, but also restrict the development of the electric vehicle industry to a certain extent, and gradually become the focus of the majority of scholars. Firstly, this paper summarized a variety of complex influencing factors of electric vehicle charging safety, and analyzed the causal relationship between them and typical faults in the charging process of electric vehicles. Then, the research achievements of domestic and foreign scholars were summarized from three aspects: battery charging safety protection, charging equipment charging safety protection, charging safety evaluation index system and early warning model protection. Finally, according to the current research status of charging safety, this paper put forward the difficulties that need to be dealt with in the research of electric vehicle charging safety, and prospected the future research direction of charging safety, which provides a reference for the research of electric vehicle charging safety.
