Abstract:
Semi-symmetry and symmetry stator windings are two common structures of multiple sets of three-phase PMSMs. In this paper, a unified fault-tolerant currents calculation method was proposed under asymmetric open-circuited faults of multiple sets of three-phase PMSMs with different winding structures to obtain the maximum torque. Considering the parity of motor phases and the difference in winding structures, the decoupling matrix was reconstructed by introducing the even harmonic vector and the generalized zero-sequence vector. This method can be better applicable to the fault-tolerant currents calculation of any multiple sets of three-phase PMSM. Finally, the proposed calculation method has been validated by experiments on a 9kW prototype 9-phase PMSM under an open-circuited fault condition.
