An Overview on Research Progress of Energy Storage Technology Using Aluminum Fuel

  • 摘要: 金属燃料铝具有能量密度高、无碳、低污染、与水反应可生产氢气、燃烧产物易于回收再生等优点,是一种优良的储能和储氢载体。研究基于铝燃料储能的能源转换技术,对我国能源转型和实现碳中和具有重要意义。文中围绕铝燃料储能系统的工程应用,分别从基于铝燃料的储能发电系统、铝的燃烧以及铝的再生3个方面,对国内外有关铝燃料储能的研究和应用现状进行了分析总结。最后,针对铝燃料储能系统在实际工业应用过程中存在的技术经济问题,指出了铝燃料储能技术未来的重点研究方向。

     

    Abstract: Metal fuel aluminum has the advantages of high energy density, carbon-free, and low pollution. It reacts with water to produce hydrogen, and its combustion products are easy to recycle and regenerate. It is an excellent carrier for energy storage and hydrogen storage. The research on energy conversion technology based on aluminum fuel storage is of great significance for energy transformation and carbon neutrality in China. This work focused on the engineering application of aluminum fuel energy storage systems, the current research and application status of aluminum fuel energy storage at home and abroad were analyzed and summarized from three aspects: energy storage and power generation system based on aluminum fuel, aluminum combustion, and aluminum regeneration. In conclusion, regarding the technical and economic problems existing in the practical industrial application of aluminum fuel energy storage systems, the key research directions of aluminum fuel energy storage technology in the future were pointed out.
