Abstract:
With the development of digital power system, power specific integrated circuit (PSIC), which aims at enabling power system digitization, has gained extensive attention. This paper discussed the concept and research content of power-specific integrated circuit from the demand of digital power grid and the current situation of chip development in the power industry. It respectively discussed the key technologies of power-specific integrated circuit from the aspects of chip architecture, chip software and hardware boundary, chip operation guarantee, and chip testing. It focused on the demand of each segment such as generation, storage, transmission, transformation, distribution and usage in power system. Then, the typical application scenarios of power- specific integrated circuit and the customization problems were analyzed. Finally, from the perspective of the development needs of the power industry, the scientific issues and challenges oriented to the power-specific integrated circuit were presented.
