一种采用仰角交叉点的金属管道涡流测厚方法

An Eddy Current Thickness Measurement Method of Metal Pipeline Using Tilt Angle Intersection

  • 摘要: 管道外放置式线圈的偏转会严重影响管道涡流检测的性能。基于管道外任意放置式线圈激励的管道涡流场的解析解,分析激励螺线管线圈放置角度变化对线圈相对阻抗增量的影响,得到激励线圈相对阻抗增量随水平旋转角和垂直仰角变化的规律。通过分析垂直仰角对激励线圈阻抗增量的影响,发现不同垂直仰角下线圈相对阻抗增量在一小范围内两两相交。这个小范围被定义为仰角交叉域,其中的交点被定义为仰角交叉点。在仰角交叉域内,线圈阻抗增量受线圈垂直仰角变化的影响很小,因此它可以被用于管道涡流检测。通过拟合垂直仰角0°和90°扫频曲线的虚部仰角交叉点频率值与管道厚度的特征方程,得到一种基于仰角交叉点的非铁磁性金属测厚方法。最后通过实验测量了不锈钢金属管道的厚度,测量结果相对误差为2.08%,验证了该方法的正确性。

     

    Abstract: The deflection of the coil placed outside the pipeline will seriously affect the performance of pipeline eddy current testing. In this paper, the analytic solution of the pipe eddy current field excited by a coil placed outside the pipe was used to analyze the influence of the excitation solenoid coil deflection on the relative impedance change of the coil and then relative impedance change curves of the excitation coil with different rotation angles and tilt angles were gained, respectively. By analyzing relative impedance changes curves of the excitation coil with different tilt angles, it was found that the relative impedance increment of the coil intersects in pairs within a small range under different tilt angles. This small range was defined as the tilt angle intersection domain, where the intersection point was the tilt angle intersection point. In the domain, the coil impedance increment was little affected by the change of the vertical tilt of the coil, so it could be used for eddy current detection of pipeline. In this paper, the characteristic equation between the frequency of the tilt angle intersection point and the thickness of pipeline with the tilt angles of 0° and 90° was fitted to measure the thickness of non-ferromagnetic metal pipe. Finally, the thickness measurement method was verified by experiments. The relative error of measurement results is 2.08%, which verifies the high precision of the method.
