Abstract:
As a widely existing structure characteristic of many real complex networks, community structure has an extensive and essential practical significance. In the present years, researches on community structure had yielded fruitful results in many fields such as biology, sociology, computer science, etc. Meanwhile a few scholars have applied a part of achievements to electric power network analysis and obtained some positive conclusions. Based on summaries of the current research progress including community detection, community evolution and relationship between community structure and dynamics on networks, this paper analyzed the applications in the power network researches such as structure identifying,partitioning and dynamics analysis. At last, combining demands of modern electric power network analysis and research results, the future research directions and the potential practical value of community structure are suggested.
