Abstract:
The measurement of electric field is one of the fundamental research tools in electrical engineering.Integrated optical electric field sensors(IOES) are passive devices and they have such advantages as compact structure,wide-band response and wide measuring range.Therefore,IOES can meet the requirement in different measurement conditions in electrical engineering.Firstly,this paper gives an overview of the development of IOES over the last 30 years.Then,several key technical parameters of IOES are given in detail,including linear measurement range,time and frequency domain response characteristics,etc.Finally,typical applications using IOES are presented,including DC E-field measurement,power frequency E-filed measurement,μs-order and ns-order transient E-filed measurement.
