Current Status and Application Prospect of Fault Current Limiters

  • 摘要: 为了应对电网故障电流水平日益增长的挑战,过去数十年,提出并开发了各类故障电流限制器。但是,除少数例外,适合于商业应用的产品开发却进展缓慢。该文概括介绍了主要限流器的发展现状及技术特点,分析了影响限流器进入电力市场的制约因素。最后,预测了限流器的发展趋势和未来前景,重点讲述为提高限流器的竞争力,近年来技术创新的趋向,包括将限流器的应用扩展到智能电网,通过技术融合进一步改善其技术经济性能等。

     

    Abstract: To meet the challenge of ever-increasing fault current level in the power grid,various fault current limiters have been proposed and developed over the past decades.However,with a few exceptions,there has been little progress in developing products feasible for commercial applications.This paper attempts to give an overview of current states and technical features of the leading fault current limiters,and to analyze the restrictions to its penetration into power market.Finally,the development trend and future prospect of FCL are projected,with special reference to the recent innovation tendency in making FCL more competitive,including extending its applications to smart grid and further improving its tech-economic performance by technology convergence.
