Abstract: It has become a new trend of our country's higher education to regard morality education as the center of teaching. There is a question needed to be explored that how to smoothly integrate ideological and political elements into the professional courses. In order to cultivate interdisciplinary talents with both ability and integrity, universities must establish an ideological and political construction plan suitable for engineering professional courses as soon as possible. This paper analyzed the national boundaries of science, technology and engineering involved in engineering specialty, fully excavates the training mode as well as ideological and political elements based on professional course, constructs an ideological and political teaching system for the training of engineering professionals. The paper firstly analyzed the dialectical relationship among the three elements of propagating the doctrines, imparting professional knowledge, and resolving doubts. Then the paper faced six ideological and political training goals, deconstructs the specialized engineering course into five typical teaching links. In the ideological and political teaching framework of this course, the paper put forward ten types of curriculum ideological and political integration strategies. The above contents were dedicated to providing a valuable reference for the all-round training of engineering professionals in China. Taking Power System Analysis, the core course of electrical engineering major, as an example, the validity and feasibility of the proposed ideological and political construction scheme for engineering major curriculum were discussed.
