Abstract: Professional degree postgraduate education is an important part of the postgraduate education system, which plays a dominant role in promoting the cultivation of high-level application-oriented talents and the construction of an innovative country. Based on the exploration and practice of professional degree postgraduate education in electrical engineering at Zhejiang University, this paper put forward a professional degree postgraduate education system, which deepened homeland enthusiasm and craftsmanship spirit, integrated scientific research and engineering practice, and payed equal attention to professional ability and comprehensive quality. It systematically introduced the related cultivation mode differing from that for the science degree postgraduate education, in particular aspects of the engineering oriented curriculum system, the training modules with professional degree characteristics, and the training platform jointly built by colleges and enterprises. This paper provided certain reference value and significance for the cultivation of professional degree postgraduates in disciplines of engineering.
