Abstract:
The development and popularization of electric vehicles (EVs) has made the urban transportation system and the power grid closely coupled. In most existing works, the traffic characteristics especially the interactions among vehicles are neglected in the charging load analysis. This paper proposed a charging load simulation method based on traffic equilibrium. Firstly, considering the decision process of fast charging, the framework of fast charging load simulation was proposed. Secondly, a traffic equilibrium model of mixed vehicle flow was established, and the charging load of each charging station was calculated and analyzed considering the interaction of user behavior. Thirdly, the optimal path generation model was established and the branch and price method was used to generate the path to solve the traffic equilibrium model. The case studied on Xi'an had verified the effectiveness and validity of the proposed method. The results had also shown the potential of electricity pricing in adjusting the spatial charging load.
