Abstract:
Generating electricity by micro gas turbine(MGT) is an important way to utilize medium and low calorific value(LCV) gas produced by biomass gasification and other processes. Based on the E100 MGT and a bio-syngas with a calorific value of 7.5 MJ/m3, this study proposed a "single swirler multi injection" combustor for LCV applications, and experimental tests were carried out on combustor test rig. Component testing results show that the combustor has good ignition stability and combustion efficiency is above 98.5% and NOx emission is smaller than 20 mg/m3 at design outlet temperature. The results indicate that the new designed combustor can realize high efficiency, stable and low emission combustion of medium and low calorific value fuel. The designed combustor is reliable and can be further tested on MGT test cell.
