Input-series Output-quasi-parallel Multiple Output Converter

  • 摘要: 采用多路输出直流变换器的服务器电源架构具有较好的效率优势。提出一种应用于该电源架构中的输入串联输出准并联的多路输出变换器。该多路输出变换器由一个DCX和一个辅助变换器组成,其中DCX处理大部分输出功率,辅助变换器仅处理小部分功率,并用来稳定DCX的其中一路输出电压。给出DCX和辅助变换器的电路拓扑选取依据,并提出变换器的软启动控制策略。最后,以输入串联输出准并联的双路输出LLC变换器和双管正激变换器为例,设计一台500W原理样机,进行实验验证。实验结果表明,所提出ISOq P多路输出变换器及其控制策略具有可行性,变换器具有较高的效率,有利于提高服务器电源的整体变换效率。

     

    Abstract: Server power supply with multiple output converter has advantage of high conversion efficiency. This paper proposed a novel input-series-output-quasi-parallel(ISOq P) multiple output converter applied to server power supply. The proposed ISOq P multiple output converter was constituted by a DCX and an auxiliary converter, in which the DCX handles most of the output power while the auxiliary converter only processes a minor part of the output power and takes the charge of stabilizing one output voltage of the DCX. To help design the proposed ISOq P multiple output converter, the topology selection criteria for the DCX and the auxiliary converter was presented and a soft-start control strategy was put forward. Finally, a 500 W prototype composed by a double output LLC converter and a dual-switch forward converter was built and tested in the lab. The experimental results can verify the feasibility of the proposed ISOq P multiple output converter and the proposed soft-start control strategy. The converter has high conversion efficiency, which could help to increase the overall conversion efficiency of the server power supply.
