Abstract:
In order to fully utilize biomass waste, the combustion characteristics and kinetic parameters of corn straw mixed with cow manure were investigated using thermo-gravimetric analysis experiments. The results indicate that the combustion process of all samples can be divided into three stages: dehydration, volatilization and combustion, and fixed carbon combustion. The addition of corn straw reduces the ignition and burnout temperature of cow manure and improves the combustion characteristic parameters. The activation energy of different reaction stages for different mixing ratios were calculated using four kinetic models, with the FWO model showing the highest correlation. Based on the comprehensive analysis of combustion characteristics and kinetic parameters, it is found that the sample with a cow manure:corn straw ratio of 6∶4 showes better overall performance, which provides reference for the subsequent research of combustion utilization of cow manure and corn straw.
