Abstract:
Using the ERA5 wind farm to drive the third-generation wave numerical model SWAN, the synchronous wind and wave data of the sea near Shandong Peninsula were obtained from March 1991 to March 2021, and the offshore wind energy and wave energy in the sea area were jointly evaluated. The evaluation analyzes the energy potential, stability, correlation and complementarity of offshore wind energy and wave energy, and provides a basis for the joint development of wind and wave resources in the future. The results show that the sea area is rich in wind energy and wave energy, with obvious seasonal variation characteristics, the most abundant resources in winter, and the two resources have high stability in winter. The two resources are more complementary in coastal waters, and the correlation in the coastal waters of the western Bohai Sea and the northern Yellow Sea is relatively low.
