Abstract:
Permeable fixed breakwaters can improve the deep-sea maintenance environment of floating photovoltaic power generation systems. According to wave attenuation principles or structural style, they can be categorized into six types, i. e., row piles, pile foundations, caissons, caissons on pile foundation, horizontal plates, and hybrid structures. A literature review is presented on the progress and development of the permeable fixed breakwaters study. The methodology, structural characteristics, wave attenuation performance and engineering applications of different structural types are reviewed and discussed, as well as summarizing the shortcomings of the current research and prospecting the future development direction.
