Abstract:
For an offshore wind power project, the influences of the distance to foundation and the size of pile pits on the inclination of composite bucket foundation at mud surface are analyzed using three-dimensional numerical software ABAQUS. The coefficient γ and sensitivity coefficient K are defined, which can reflect the filling and consolidation degree of pile pit. With the increase of pile pit size, the inclination of composite bucket foundation at mud surface is non-linearly increasing to the side of pile pit. When the depth of pile pit is greater than the penetrated depth of composite bucket foundation, the inclination increases faster. The inclination of composite bucket foundation at mud surface is more sensitive to the strength of the backfill soil inside pile pits with large depth and close distance. The research in this paper is intended to provide theoretical analyses for the selection and layout of installation vessel for composite bucket foundation and wind turbine.
