Abstract:
The development of large-scale and clustered wind farms has brought new challenges to the evaluation of the wake effects. To address this issue,a coupled method based on the traditional wake model and the wind farm boundary layer model is proposed considering the vertical momentum transport in the atmospheric boundary layer and the flow inhomogeneity in the wind farm. The proposed coupled method is verified by the measured data of the Horns Rev wind farm and the Xitieshan wind farm cluster. The results show that the coupled method can accurately calculate the wake effects inside and between large wind farms, and may have important theoretical and engineering significance to the future development of large-scale and clustered wind farms.
