Abstract:
Based on the k-ωSST turbulence model,the dynamic stall process of DU91-W2-250 airfoil segment with vortex generators(VGs)installedat different spacing(z)and installation angle(α
vg)is numerically studied.The airfoil segment performs a typical sinusoidal pitch oscillation motion,and the influence of the VGs installation parameters on the flow control effect of the airfoil segment is investigated.It is found that changing the z has little effect on the aerodynamic performance,while changing the α
vghas grea effect;when z is from 6 to 8 mm,and α
vgis from 13.4°to 16.4°,the VGs have a good effect on improving the aerodynamic performance of the airfoil segment.The strength of streamwise vortices is a major factor affecting the flow control effect of VGs.
