Abstract:
In this paper, the control strategy of suppressing power fluctuation of direct-drive wind power system with hybrid energy storage based on zero-phase low-pass filter is studied. The wind power is smoothed and the power quality is improved by controlling vanadium redox flow battery(VRB)to compensate medium frequency power fluctuation and by super capacitor(SC)to quickly absorb high frequency power fluctuation. At the same time, two modes of maximum power tracking operation of direct drive wind power generation system can be operated and smoothly switched according to the power grid dispatch order. The wind power dispatching algorithm based on zero-phase low-pass filter is proposed. The influence on filtering effect by the parameters of zero-phase low-pass filter is analyzed, and the method of parameter optimization design is given. Because the zero-phase low-pass filter has no phase lag problem, the high, medium and low frequency power of wind power is accurately detected in real time and the power coupling between each frequency band is reduced. Therefore, the better smoothing effect of power fluctuation is achieved and the capacity of the energy storage unit is reduced. Finally, the system simulation model is established in MATLAB/Simulink environment, and the effectiveness of the proposed power distribution algorithm and control strategy is verified by simulation.
