Abstract:
An improved predictive torque control method for permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM)without weight factor is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the predictive torque control method for PMSM is designed on the stationary frame. So, a large number of coordinate transformation operations are avoided and the prediction process is greatly simplified. Secondly, to remove the weight factor, a method to transform the torque control error and the flux control error to per-unit values is proposed. Then, based on the transformed perunit values, a new cost function design method is presented. As the transformed per-unit values of the torque and flux control errors are the same order of magnitude, the weight factor is not required any more. Finally, experimental studies are carried out to compare the dynamic and static control performance of the conventional and the proposed predictive torque control method for PMSM. The experimental results verify the validity of the proposed method.
