Abstract:
A new type of wave energy buoy is designed,which is composed of two absorbing floating buoys,a main floating pontoon,an underwater possession,a hydraulic power take-off system and a single point mooring system. In order to study the hydrodynamic performance of the buoy,a physical model experiment was carried out in a two-dimensional flume. The experiment results shows that the buoy owes good hydrodynamic performance,and achieves a high capture width ratio,two resonance frequencies,and a wide pass band.The results verify the feasibility of the design scheme of the double-floating wave power buoy.
